£155,841.27 = The 'Class of 2013' overall fundraising figure

For sure what stars the 'Class of 2013' are - fund raising for the 2013 rally closed at midnight last night; the overall figure raised by you being £155,841.27. This is the figure used when quoting the amount raised by the 2013 rally. With 'Gift Aid' of a further £10,657.71, the overall amount that Help for Heroes benefits by is actually £166,498.98. A huge amount of money.

The 2013 crews can give themselves a massive pat on the back/a big hug or a kiss or whatever - all can be massively proud of this achievement - after all the rally is all about raising money for Help for Heroes.

For us, that now draws a line under the 2013 rally - do not pay any further funds into your 2013 Bmycharity account. If you receive any further amounts due to 2013 then please the rally organisers and we'll advise you on how to deal with them.

A final 'well done' - As we know there is only one winner from your efforts - with £630,000 raised from 2010 to date via the Help for Heroes 4x4 European Rally that winner is Help for Heroes

Just 1 question ive been meaning to ask  

Why is the Gift aid not counted in the total as it is still money raised:?: 

Mark - When the rally started in 2010 we didn't include Gift Aid as this is the amount of money the Great British public have given 'from the heart' and without any Government tax benefit. We've simply continued that practice. We're aware other events quote sums that include Gift Aid - but we are happier with solely quoting the sum people have physically 'put into the pot'.

In the 2014 rules, it is clear, per Para 934, sub-section 83 (k)(43), that 'curious' is allowed but not encouraged.  As Unit 10 currently leads the 2014 fund-raising the rally's friendly, caring, considerate and understanding organisers are taking a relaxed view; on this occasion only!

The 'Class of 2014' is already up & running - and as we've been oversubscribed the 2014 target is £200,000. The 2013 £155k was marvellous but we were let down by some in 2013 - that won't be allowed to happen in 2014!!!!!
