My guess: close to £10k

There isnt an ASDA in Barnstaple lol so we went to Tesco..doing a count up later this week, but I have to say that Tesco Barnstaple have been massivley supportive. They have given us a total of 5 days, this weekend was the 3rd and we have 2 more to go.

Freedom to do pretty much what ever we want, and even allowed the staff to come out and get wristbands from us, and PA messages to remind customers we were there.

Have to say the Great British public are truly Great.

Some of you will already know that I had a call on Saturday from the father of a guy seriously injured in Afghanistan. The father and son intend taking part in the 2013 rally - and it was so good to hear first-hand how wonderful H4H had been to the family.

It was timely that this was the Asda w/e - and I could say to him what was happening ie you boys 'n girls were out there fund raising for his son and others injured.

For sure a huge thanks from us to all of you who took part in the Asda Campaign. We know some who wanted to take part, but no store was near them.

And of course a huge thanks to all of you for all your activities in support of the cause - H4H.

Humbling for us - but simply brilliant

Just finished a count... Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday... Sorry...can't face another day!

Grand total of £1799.08 including £480.50 merchandise. Pretty pleased with that...!!

Forgot to put our figures up.

We collected £1588 and sold £750 worth of goodies.

Finally got all the monies paid in this morning and the results for Asda Aintree are:

Total : £3272.04 ( of which £770 was merchandise )

We also collected : -

1 Hungarian Forint,
1 Czech Krona,
55 US cents ( 2 quarters and 5 pennies )
53 Euro cents ( collection of 2s and 5s )
1 French Franc
1 Sixpence ( coincidentally as old as I am )
and..........
1 Aldi Trolley Token ( need to ask Lyn and Nick about the story behind that one )

We got a trolley coin as well along with various Middle Eastern coins as well as 61 green Asda tokens

That's for the Sunday ............. just waiting now for the one for Saturday !!!!!

That's tough Nick, hope you are going to appeal it and ask them to donate the same amount to H4H instead

Obviously the signs explaining free parking periods are not very obvious!!!

We got caught at a Morrison's when we were there collecting and appealed to the car parking company who refused to cancel the ticket so we went back to the Morrison store and they cancelled it for us.
Good luck Nick - you should succeed in getting it cancelled.
