The Longest Day

Sitting on my boat on the river Hamble watching the film The Longest Day and remembering that today and tomorrow in 1944 tens of thousands left from this exact spot to go and liberate europe to give us the freedom we enjoy today.brings back many memories from 2010 and also from todays conflicts and emphasises why what we,you are doing is so important.

Amazing isnt it? how watching the films and documentaries on TV makes you completely appreciate why we're doing what we are in order to help the guys n gals that fight to keep what we have!

Knowing where you are I can imagine the poignancy of the moment!
On a lighter note that is another D day anniversary about gone, so if you see my dad, give him a kick up the arse and tell him to hurry up and get hyperion back in the water where she belongs so we can commemorate next year properly!

Thought you were trying to beat him to it !!!!!
AS for Hyperion, only needs new engines,new hull,new superstructure in fact new everything.
